The Black Clover, a fantasy anime based on Yuki Tabata’s manga collection, captured the hearts of the fans for four seasons straight. However, the fourth season closed on a promise of an “important announcement,” and it kept fans of the show on the hook for a long time.

It is a story about the underdog Asta, who is born in a world of witchcraft and wizardry, devoid of magic. He and his childhood friend Yuno, who is a powerful wind magician, try to overcome the odds and become the Wizard King.
The story of this anime is captivating, and it gained a huge fan base over the course of years. In February 2021, it was announced that the Black Clover would end its broadcast at episode 170 on March 30, 2021, followed by an important announcement that left quite the impression.
Allegedly, the anime has reached the point where 10% of episodes are fillers, so the show creators decided to give the manga a chance to get ahead to get sufficient content to work with and avoid filler. However, they also said that we should expect another “important announcement” soon, which was very cryptic yet enticing.
Details of season 5 have not been imminent so far, but it looks like the important announcement referred to the upcoming Black Clover movie, which was revealed on March 28. There is no official release for that either, and speculations claim that it is likely that it will be set for release sometime in 2022.
